Feature Artist of the Week

This week I am featuring a sweetheart of a person whom I have only met online as a fellow artist. She has a heart of gold and is one of those people who you would LOVE to have on your team! I know she's one of my biggest cheerleaders. Her story is not only inspiring but one of those I love to hear because through her words, I can feel her passion for what she does.

My journey started almost 4 years ago. I went to get my nails done at a shop and I did not like the way they did my nails. I wanted to explain what I wanted and no one understood my needs so I decided while working in my corporate America job i would go to school part time to learn how to be a nail technician (to be honest I only went to school to learn how to do my own nails) but then I also became an esthetician (full skin specialist license) and what I did not know at the time this was going to change my life the moment I graduated!

I worked at a high end spa part time and it was amazing! Seeing my art on their nails made me fall more in love with each polish and 2 months later I quite corporate America. A few months later the spa owner had to close the spa. I was heartbroken, I could not understand Why?, and with my sons medical conditions (addadhd depression disorder) I just stopped doing nails, and I lost my passion.

2 years went by and I was added to a mommie group, I saw a comment on a post in the group that changed my life. The comment was written by a pregnant mom on bed rest not being able to leave her home. So I offered my services to her. I told her what I did and the next day I met her. She explained she had Hyperemesis gravidarum and it's a condition characterized by severe nauseavomiting, weight loss, and electrolyte disturbance. Some mild cases are treated with dietary changes, rest and antacids, but hers was a severe case that required her to be on a pump that gave her the fluids she needed. I spent 4 hours with her that day and just talked and painted her nails.
When I got home that night I cried and cried. All I thought was I hope I made her day.

The next day, I got messages in my inbox asking me about my services. I was confused and asked these ladies how they found me? They explained that a mommie in a group
loved my services and the touch I had. I felt my passion start to rise and my heart start to beat faster, my mobile service was born.

Fast forward to today. My mobile service caters to so many amazing women. I would have never thought in a million years I would be "spoiling" all these amazing women! I would have never known how many women are on housebound, bedrest, and even in elderly homes. All they want is for someone to just hold their hand for just one minute.

I also have done amazing photoshoots with beauty and portrait photographers and I get to show my passion and the love I have for nails by spoiling my clients with a simple polish and a touch from me. I'm so thankful that my work everyday is to put a smile on my clients face!

I always say this to my clients " I do nails because it's my passion not my job! The day it becomes my job I will quit!"
My journey has been amazing, I would not have had it any other way. Not only do I specialize in natural gel polish manicures and dry pedicures but, "I also continue to educate, take classes, research on how to learn new techniques to provide my clients with the best quality services!" I have also educated my clients about my procedures and how I don't cross contaminate and I am a one time use nail artist 🎨
I love being detailed and I am a super perfectionist but best of all the reviews I see my clients write about my services let me know this is where I belong!
